I understand that one day you may have seen your father lying there dying of an illness.. like a hepatitis C infection.. and unable to get treatment.. and you saw your mother borrowing for his sake, so some would give to her and some would humiliate her.. and you used to go to fetch bread every day and stand in a queue a kilometre long.. wasting your time so that you would go back unable to study, then go to school and run into a teacher with no conscience who disgusts you so that you take a private lesson.. and you did not have the money for the lesson.
You walk to the school itself in the rain and the cold.. you need a pair of shoes and you do not know how to buy one.. your little brother needs milk and there is none.. your older brother cannot get a job in the public sector because of "connections".. and he cannot work in the private sector because he does not have a "Recommendation".. which is also just connections, as usual.. only it has a fancy name.. they will not take him unless he is exceptionally outstanding.. and his circumstances do not allow for that.. no internet to study with, no books to read, nothing at all.
He could not marry his classmate whom he loves, because her family preferred a wealthy young man from a good family.. your sister or your mother works as a saleswoman in a simple shop and the shop owner harms her psychologically and the customers jump all over her, and you do not know what to do about anything.
Many times you could not make it to the end of the month.. many times, as a child, you were deprived of things that were in the hands of the other children.. many times you saw your father crushed by debt or destitution.. and perhaps you saw him crying.. you knew that you would graduate and would not study the field you love and become a "pilot" because the aviation institute's fees run into the thousands.. nor would you become a sea captain because the academy is costly.. and you knew that you would not be able to marry easily.
You guessed that all your life you would live in hardship like your family and be tense and violent all the time.. living under nervous pressure your whole life, just to get your hands on a few loaves of bread.
So even as a young man you had what would make you revolt when the moment came.
You were placed, against your will, in a position where you are a golden opportunity for anyone to exploit the energy of anger inside you.
But the people who stood up to you were also excused. Imagine that there is a deadly poisonous snake in the house and you and your family are afraid of it.. so I came and sat shouting at the door of your house night and day.. and preventing anyone from entering or leaving.. and then I brought a box of fuel bottles and turned them into Molotov cocktails, and started throwing them at your house to get rid of that snake.. what would your reaction be?
Of course it is not logical for you to keep quiet for me.. while I burn you and your family and your neighbours alive to get rid of a snake. Especially if I reject any discussion or reason.. and see only myself as the one who is right and the rest as "ignorant slaves".
Even though I have energy that could be used well and make the house clean of snakes.. and the best house in the neighbourhood.. but I am using it wrongly.
I fully understand what you were subjected to.. and you are trying to change it.. but in order to change it.. you took a wrong path.. it will not lead you to what you want.
It is exactly as if you want to become a doctor, so you went and studied at the wireless institute! Or you want to become a musician.. so you enrolled in the faculty of agriculture.. you know what you want.. but you are walking a wrong road.. it will not get you to what you want.
Think about these two words.. and measure them with logic.. and ask yourself.. why are you the only one who hates your country and wishes for its demise.. when it is something that is not wished for even by a limbless beggar in India sleeping next to the dogs in a rubbish dump.. his circumstances are thousands of times more wretched than yours.
Who is it that fills your mind with this hatred and rancour and darkness.. and wrongs you.. when you were already wronged all your life?
How did he fill your mind with this hatred and this jumbling of concepts in the first place?
Who made you understand that it is right for you to use social media and technology to incite the ruin of your country or spread hatred or rumours and to belittle your homeland.. instead of trying to learn a new piece of information or study and take a free course and make up for what you missed and live a better life?
How was this war waged on your alert, pristine mind with all its capacities.. and you decided to deprive it of its rights to be better.. and to distort its concepts to this horrific degree.. so that the terrorist becomes a patriot.. and the security man a thug?
And who said that the people in these pictures are "role models".. or really want a better homeland.. or are trying to offer you something that benefits you in your life?
Sorry, how do you see that "comics" will make you cultured.. and that the joking and the vulgar joke and the clowning with obscene words that fill your life and your page and your head will get you a job in a multinational company, for example?
