We spoke together about the three generations of wars, and we reached "fourth-generation war, 4GW", and we saw how it erases the dividing lines between virtues and their opposites.. and mixes up the definitions, so that a person no longer knows the difference between the homeland and religion, nor between the civilian and the combatant, nor between the truth and the rumour.. and how psychological warfare through the media is the main pillar in it, by a proportion that almost reaches 80%.. while guerrilla warfare represents the rest..
That talk is in the first reference for anyone who wants to review it...
- Fourth-generation wars have several characteristics.. among them that they are: 1 - exhausting and long-term for any state.. 2 - they use the tactic of terrorism (note: terrorism is a tactic.. not an ideology); 3 - the fighters who fight states in them have no leadership.. and you do not know who follows whom.. as we saw in Syria and Libya for example.. fifty brigades and fifty terrorist factions and you do not know who follows whom.. 4 - they use the media heavily.. 5 - they attack civilians who have nothing to do with the warring parties.. as we see when they sometimes plant a bomb on a train or a plane.. note that these are not military means of transport, these are means that everybody rides.. even their own supporters..
That is why the terrorist is a strong, important element in fourth-generation war.. because he gives no weight to anyone's life.. even his own supporters.. unlike the state, which strives to preserve the lives of the innocent all the time...
As for the most important and most dangerous of them, it is that: 6 - it attacks the culture of society directly...
- How does it attack the culture of society directly? Come, let us look together.. and compare.. and you will know on your own, and examples will come into your head on their own...
Around the year 750 AD; the man of religion and the venerable scholar "Al-Khalil ibn Ahmad al-Farahidi", who gave the Qur'an its grammatical analysis and established the science of prosody, and under whose hand "Sibawayh" studied, entered into a debate with his teacher "Amr ibn al-Ala'".. a debate in grammar and the rules of the language..
The debate was extremely strong.. heated, and enthusiasm possessed everyone.. the two debaters and the audience..
And then together they reached the last question in the debate.. his teacher asked him about a grammatical question, which he had killed in research with his students the day before and whose answer he knew very well.. if "Al-Khalil ibn Ahmad" answered this question.. he would win over his teacher...
And to the astonishment of the audience, and amid their stupefaction.. Al-Khalil replied that he did not know the answer..
"Amr ibn al-Ala'" won the debate, and Al-Khalil went out defeated.. so when people asked him why he had not answered the question and won the debate.. Al-Khalil's reply was that "Amr ibn al-Ala'" was his teacher, who taught him and taught people for over sixty years.. and in the end, while debating him, he woke up from the enthusiasm.. and realized that if he won over him he would lose his standing and shake his image before everyone.. so he preferred to lose...
The truth is that this is exactly the culture of our societies.. respecting the elder and honouring him.. and in the noble hadith, "He is not one of us who does not honour our elders".. we were brought up on this our whole lives...
Compare this thinking with what is happening today, with a young man in whose mind the concepts have become mixed.. and for whom the facts have been turned upside down and his culture has been swapped.. to the point that he calls his own father a "failed generation of shame" and publicizes him at every moment, merely because he disagrees with him politically.. or because they do not agree on a particular candidate..
Compare this thinking with someone publishing a picture of his mother standing in the queues at the polling stations and wishing her death.. because he sees that her death is the way for him to live...
Did you compare? Did you see what fourth-generation war can do? It can do a great deal.. it can dismantle society even at the level of the family and turn you into a blood-thirsty animal.. thinking of nothing but blood and death and ruin.. and we saw with our own eyes.. those who kill their mother and slaughter their father.. for the sake of the American caliphate...
You hear this and see it every day in fact.. you find the respectable young man, the son of good people.. telling you literally: "Tomorrow a revolution of the hungry will rise and you will know that what I say is right"..
Meaning, he wishes to see his father and mother and sister and aunt and grandmother dying of famine and fighting over a loaf and turning into skeletal frames with sunken eyes from extreme hunger.. so that "we know that his opinion is right"...
Come, let us take other examples of the ferocious attack on the culture of society.. this time I will ask you and you will not find a logical answer..
"Why was the flag of Al-Qaeda and the Brotherhood raised in Egypt; and Ahwaz in Tunisia; and the French Mandate in Syria; and the flag of (before the republic) in Libya?"
What is the relationship of that to revolution against the ruling regime? There is something wrong, and again a mixing between words like "state".. "regime".. "government".. "homeland" and "president".. these definitions have become mixed and all become one.. to the point that a rebellious young man goes and supports and joins another state in its war against his homeland, merely because he does not like the head of state...
Why was the flag changed? What is the flag's relationship to it?
There is no answer.. right?
The truth is that there is no relationship at all between changing the regime.. and replacing the country's flag that has existed for tens of years, over which regimes and governments have succeeded one another.. but the goal of swapping the flag in reality is "changing everything on the ground and in the structure of society..."
Meaning, not only at the level of the leaderships, whose bad management caused a defect in social justice or the spread of corruption or neglect or the restriction of freedoms.. no.. "at the level of society"..
The decent young people who went out in January imagined that they were pushing their country forward and raised Egypt's flag.. this must end and become extinct.. they must "hate the homeland" and burn the flag.. their thinking must change...
The target is not the regime at all.. aren't these the states that support change and revolutions and democracy.. they lived with these regimes for long years.. they discovered suddenly, that is, that there is no democracy?
What is wanted is to strike all the factors of a society's resilience and cohesion and to produce a new society.. divided and dispersed.. based on sedition and sectarianism and confessionalism as sharia and law...
The target is to destroy the entity of the existing state in its entirety and reproduce it in a formula that conforms to the interest of the one who has unleashed fourth-generation war against you.. only.. review the destruction of antiquities and heritage in Iraq and Syria.. and verify for yourself the soundness of what I say.. you leave the revolution and the caliphate and go and break clay statues? I wonder why?
Total cultural destruction.. bulldozing.. it changes your culture so as to prepare you to accept what it wants...
Meaning, if it is in the interest of the one fighting you to remove a dictator.. and bring you a dictator with a beard.. he will change the structure of society entirely so that you become ready to accept this idea.. and the whole society becomes extremist and hardline.. and he begins to spread takfiri ideas for you.. and you are surprised on the international screens of the BBC and CNN by "Al-Qaradawi".. and "Al-Arifi" and others.. while they broadcast extremist thought to you..
The goal of this thought is to prepare you to accept the idea that a terrorist, extremist group rules you — well, that is it now.. your thinking has become one..
This plan actually succeeded in Afghanistan.. when America did it to Russia there.. and the terrorists ascended the pulpits.. and opened thousands of schools teaching their extremist thought.. so entire generations like them emerged.. accepting the idea of their existence and listening to their words...
And the culture of society changed...
And it collapsed...
Death and blood and terrorism and gloom and hatred become a culture.. and at that point the sight of a small child rigged with explosives is accepted completely.. like this picture.. and that is what is wanted...
So the killers of children become "mujahideen" and those who fight them become "killers and butchers"..
Afghanistan is a model of a state in which fourth-generation war succeeded — "changing the culture of society + guerrilla warfare".. as we said before.. fourth-generation wars are old, not recent.. but the first to speak about them in a systematic way was the American "William Lind" in 1989...
Among the cultural bulldozing they did among us is that most people today do not like to read.. reading has become "something repulsive"...
Meaning, people now want humour and light comics.. and information of the type "did you know that a lizard has a tail".. and by this he imagines that he has become cultured..
Because if you read and go deep.. you will reach many things that raise the level of your culture and your life and make you capable of standing up to him.. and consequently his plan fails..
By the way, the light comics pages are a direct media model of fourth-generation wars.. notice that it is rare for it to tell you an ordinary joke.. like the jokes we exchange daily.. no, its jokes are all political.. mocking society itself and the idea of the state and the authorities and the governments..
A comics page might mock President Sisi.. but mock "Hazem Abu Ismail", no.. it might mock a scholar like Dr. "Mohamed El-Erian".. but mock the famous scandal of "Mostafa El-Naggar" in the leaked call with "Al-Qaradawi's son", no..
And take this now.. it might mock "Donald Trump".. but the chaste lady "Hillary Clinton".. "no"...
Did you notice this?
Did you learn who is operating these people as a media tool in fourth-generation wars?
In the fourth reference in this post you will find "Bassem Youssef" saying in a video.. that "it is not right to mock Erdogan as long as he is annoyed.. and Erdogan is not supposed to respond to those who mock him"..
"Bassem", who exported mockery as a legitimate right for anyone and that it is not your right to be annoyed and that this is freedom.. is worried about "Erdogan's" feelings and sees that he is excused and has the right to be annoyed.. this is a model of concepts when they become mixed and facts when they are turned upside down...
We spoke in the previous post about CNN's role in manipulating minds.. and the theory of "the CNN effect".. Al Jazeera in political science is classified exactly like it.. and political and economic scientists classify it as operating in parallel with CNN; to mix facts and broadcast rumours and influence minds and societies with lies.. and they called this role of its.. the "Al Jazeera effect"..
If you do not believe me, go back to the fifth and seventh reference.. or even search for yourself...
By the way, the first to promote ISIS and publicize it and present it to the world.. was Al Jazeera channel on 9 April 2013, in an audio message that the organization itself broadcast on the channel...
Among the most important roles that Al Jazeera and CNN and the rest of the fourth-generation war choir play.. is that they "focus very much for you on the negatives".. they take from you the corruption or the bribery or the neglect or whatever.. and shine a light on them and magnify them.. and make you imagine that you are the only one suffering from that.. that not the whole world suffers from it..
Dr. "George Friedman" in his book "Beyond Fourth Generation Warfare" tells us that in order to achieve this.. your enemy must attack any achievement or attempt at development and progress you make.. and must constantly belittle your national projects, in addition to making you imagine that they are losing or are of no use at all..
This is exactly what they did with every national project the state carried out.. starting with the New Suez Canal, which they belittle all the time.. and then convince you that it is useless and losing.. like the informal housing project.. which, finding nothing to say about it, told you that the stadiums are very close to the buildings..
The important thing is that the achievement be belittled and that is it.. and you feel all the time that you are a failure, bad, weak.. you feel the pressure and the helplessness and the failure.. so you begin to turn to someone who promises you paradise and houris and bliss.. you listen to him on a journey in search of your self that they stole from you.. and you join him..
That is the goal...
If you become optimistic, enthusiastic and work.. then the war has failed.. and he does not want that at all.. he wants it to continue and carry on with you.. until you collapse and fall and become sectarian.. hating your homeland and yourself and life...
"Satan threatens you with poverty".. a word God, glorified and exalted, said about the devils among mankind and the jinn.. who threaten people with poverty and loss and "the revolution of the hungry", and unfortunately there is one who threatens people with poverty.. while he imagines — because of the mixing of concepts in his mind — that he is defending religion...
And God willing, next time our talk will be the conclusion...
