The talk is correct.. but this is not a picture of "Amr Tolba" or "Moshe Zaki Rafi" or Agent 1001.
The truth is that this is a picture of a man from the Palestinian resistance men who were cooperating with Egypt at the time.
His name is "Ali Hassan Salameh".. and his picture was used by some idiot on YouTube as "Amr Tolba" and he confused people.
But "Ali" himself.. has abundant stories against Israel.
So on 7 January 1972, the landline telephone rang in the home of Mr. "Mahmoud Hamshari".. a man of the Palestinian resistance in Paris.
And he did not know that this call.. its price was very high.
Its price was his very life.
"Mahmoud" was already awake and had drunk his coffee.. and was about to go down.. because he had very important business ahead of him.. since he was the first ambassador.. of the Palestine Liberation Organization in France.
But what made him turn back from the door of his home and decide to answer the telephone.. was what had happened the previous night.
On that night.. an Italian journalist had called him.. and spoke to him enthusiastically about believing in the Palestinians' right to their land.. and wanting to do a special press interview with him.
And because "Mahmoud Hamshari", although a diplomat, was a seasoned resistance man.. and extremely cautious.. he asked that the meeting be at the PLO headquarters.. in the heart of Paris.
And the journalist agreed.. and they set seven in the evening.
And "Mahmoud" went to the headquarters and waited for the journalist.
He waited for him a long time.
But the journalist never showed up.
He did not even call to apologize.
And "Mahmoud" went back to his home in real bewilderment.. asking himself.. why did this unknown journalist do that
And he forgets the whole matter.. and sleeps peacefully.. and wakes up and eats a quick improvised breakfast.. and drinks his coffee.. and heads for the door.
And the telephone rings.
And "Mahmoud" decides to answer, as we said.. and heads for the telephone.. and his hand reaches out for the receiver.
And at that moment he suddenly notices that the floorboards under the telephone table are coated with fresh varnish.. of the same color as the floor, to the point that it could have never shown at all.. had it not been for the sunlight that crept in from a nearby window.
And that the telephone wire is not connected to the wall.. as usual.
It goes down under the floorboards...!!
And the truth leaps into his mind suddenly.
This supposed journalist meeting was nothing but a big lie.
A means of ensuring that he stayed away from his home for enough time.
Enough time for experts to infiltrate.. and carry out a specific task.. in his absence.
And "Mahmoud" understands the whole matter.
But his mind had already issued the order to his grip and the muscles of his arm.. and he had reached the point of no return.. and a frightening cold shiver ran through his body.. as he lifts the telephone receiver.
And the explosion roared.
And the Mossad let out a mocking laugh.
And the name "Mahmoud Hamshari" was crossed off in one of the Mossad's files.
A file bearing the name of a very special operation.
Operation Wrath of God.
And the strange thing is that this operation began, at the beginning, for the sake of one man.
A man named "Ali Hassan Salameh".. the one in this picture.
A real resistance man.. from father and grandfather.. not one of the masters of satellite channels and hotels.. a resistance man from the people of Palestine.. his father was one of the commanders who carried arms.. and advanced in the ranks and was wounded.. in the 1948 war.
After he finished his secondary education he moved to Cairo and to study.. and he did indeed study commerce.. and because of his ideology.. he caught the attention of Egyptian intelligence.. as an excellent resistance element.
And Egyptian intelligence began training him.. with the blessing of the Palestinian resistance.
Bear in mind, in that era the resistance was real resistance.. neither bought nor diluted.. and they knew their friend from their enemy.
And "Ali" trains in Cairo. And from there he launches to Palestine and passes his expertise on to the young resistance men there and returns to Cairo again.. and so on.
This gave him enormous popularity among the youth of Palestine.. and the resistance men.. and he was patriotic.. and he stood on Egypt's side and fought in Sinai on the ground during the Tripartite Aggression.
Bear in mind once again.
At that time the imbeciles of our age had not yet spread, nor the herds of donkeys you see today posing as elites.. and resistance was an honor and betrayal was a crime.. and the traitor was executed.. he did not enter parliament or the National Council for Women.. and the terrorist was not "actually he has reformed and he is one of our own", nor were there idiot officials taking those decisions.
Right was right and wrong was wrong.
And the truth... has only one face.
And good is clear. And evil is clear.
The days of real men.
The two naval men "Jul Jamal" and "Nakhla Sakkaf", the Syrians.. refused the order of the Syrian command and the order of President "Gamal Abdel Nasser" to withdraw.
And they died in defense of Egypt.. in the heart of Egyptian territorial waters.. during the Tripartite Aggression.
And the Syrian broadcaster "Abdul Hadi Bakkar", when the Egyptian transmission towers were struck, cried out on Radio Syria: From Damascus.. this is Cairo.
The important thing is that "Ali Hassan" finished his training in Cairo.. and Cairo sent him on to Moscow.. and there he completed his training.
And "Ali" returns to Cairo and from there to Lebanon.. and passes his expertise to the resistance men there.. and from there to Jordan.. and he does the same thing.
And "Ali" marries into the Jordanian al-Mufti family.. and this is an honorable Jordanian family.. known for its patriotism and the honor of its men.. but unfortunately it produced the spy "Amina al-Mufti", whose blood was deemed lawful to shed.. and we have written about her here before.
And in Jordan something strange happens to the Palestine Liberation Organization.
Because of the Palestinian resistance's attacks from Jordan on Israel all the time.. Israel attacks Jordan.. so King "Hussein" attacks the organization.. and begins to squeeze it.. so it turns against him.. and its members go rogue.. and they deal with each other as a state within a state... and they take up arms against the Jordanians.
And the Jordanian army comes down to confront it.
And a civil war ignites.. its details deserve a separate article.. under the name "the events of Black September".
And Cairo and Beirut intervene to calm the situation... but "Ali" had turned into a rogue element. He was going by his own head now.
Still a resistance man.. still honorable.. fighting Israel and nothing else.. but he no longer had a superior and he began to act on his own without coordination.
And consequently.. he began to make mistakes.
And this is the mistake that would drag a chain of events.. and begin the stage of the end.
The important thing is.. these events end with Jordan's victory and the organization's withdrawal from there.. and its positioning in Lebanon.
But because of these events "Ali" and the resistance men begin a new organization.. they called it the Black September Organization.. because it was formed in the aftermath of the events of the month of Aylul, or September, of 1970.
And they decide that this organization can carry out operations.. without Israel placing the blame on the Palestine Liberation Organization.. and its late leader "Yasser Arafat".
And "Ali" begins traveling to Europe.. and tracking Mossad elements there.. and he sends them parcel bombs in Holland and Bulgaria and Hungary and England and France.
And his operations succeed with dazzling success.
And the Mossad goes mad.
And it tries to get rid of "Ali".. to no avail.
And "Ali" plans a big operation.. and he meets in Bulgaria with the resistance men "Fakhri al-Omari" and "Salah Mesbah" and "Saeed al-Sabah".. and they plan a major operation.. in 1972.
An operation the world would come to know as "the Munich operation".
They decide to hold 11 Israeli players hostage at the Olympic Games in Munich.. and to demand, in exchange for their release.. the release of about 240 Egyptian, Arab, Palestinian and Lebanese prisoners.. in Israel's prisons.. and..
And one Japanese.
"Kozo Okamoto".
That era was truly packed with events. Perhaps more than now.
And "Kozo Okamoto" is a Japanese man.. and one of the members of the Japanese Red Army.. and this army had a close relationship with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.. and they believed in the cause.. and were against the existence of Israel.
And they took part with the resistance in "the Lod Airport operation".
And that is an attack carried out by three members of the Japanese Red Army in cooperation with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in May.. 1972.. and they attacked Lod Airport (Ben Gurion International Airport today) near Tel Aviv.. and killed 27 Israelis.. and wounded 79 others.
And "Kozo Okamoto" was given by the resistance men the nickname "Ahmed the Japanese" and he was arrested in the airport attack.
And now they are demanding his release.. along with the Munich operation.
And "Ali" strongly rejects the operation.
He was honorable as we said and he refused to attack civilian athletes.. even if they were Israeli.
But "Fakhri al-Omari" presented him with the fact that they were all soldiers.. in the Israeli army.. some of them in service and others in the reserves.. and that was true.
And "Ali" approves the operation.. and works on it with his own hands.. and the resistance men put on athletes' clothing.. and infiltrate the hotel..
And they succeed and take the Israelis hostage.
And the German police besiege the hotel.
And "Golda Meir" goes mad at the situation.. and declares in the Knesset that she will not submit to the resistance's demands.. and that she has decided to liquidate the athletes.
The Israeli athletes!
This position would later cause a scandal for Israel.. but "Ali" and the resistance men.. carry out an innovative trick.. and they swap their clothes and their black head masks.. with the athletes.. and they push them forward.. in front of the German snipers' scopes...
And the German snipers went about picking off the hostages one after another without knowing.. and they picked off a German policeman along with them.
And they managed to kill some of the resistance men.
But the rest escaped.
And "Golda Meir" decides in fury to launch the operation with which our story began.
"Operation Wrath of God".
An operation that seeks to assassinate men of the Palestine Liberation Organization.. and at their head "Ali Hassan Salameh".
And we return to the first scene with which we began our story.
The Mossad.. succeeds with dazzling success.. in deceiving "Mahmoud Hamshari".. and they drew him away from his home.
Then they succeeded in entering "Mahmoud Hamshari's" home.. and they booby-trapped his telephone.. and he understands this at the last moment and...
And the siren of the police and ambulance cars wails in France.. as it carries "Hamshari's" body.. wounded and torn, to the hospital.
Unfortunately the Mossad succeeded in the operation and its success was overwhelming.. and "Hamshari" spent a whole year in the hospital between coma and wakefulness until his death.. in January 1973.
And the Mossad sets out to assassinate "Saeed al-Sabah" in Tripoli.. but "Saeed" grows suspicious of his German neighbor.. and watches him with caution and attention.. until he realizes that he is a Mossad agent.. and he informs the Lebanese authorities.
And as a result, the man of the counter-espionage office in Lebanese intelligence, Colonel "Issam Abu Zaki", moves.. and he pounces on the Mossad agent in an ambush and brings him down.. and arrests his entire network.
But the Mossad does not care.. and continues pursuing "Ali" insistently.
And "Ali" moves to Europe.. and the Mossad sets out after him...
And there.. "Ali", well trained, misleads them.
And they lose every trace of him.
But suddenly information comes to them about his presence in Norway.. and they travel and track him and open fire on him.
And their target falls dead.
But they realize in panic.. that they have killed another man, innocent, from Morocco.. named "Ahmed Bouchiki".. we have written about him here before. He had no relation to intelligence or the resistance.
And "Ali" continues his activity.. and he assassinates some Mossad officers in Europe.. among them "Tzadok Ofer".. the Mossad officer and the attaché of the Israeli embassy in Brussels.. with a direct bullet.. from close range.
And he exposes many Mossad agents to the authorities in the Arab world.. and Lebanon in particular.
And the Mossad responds in turn by assassinating the resistance men.. one after another.
Except for "Ali".
"Ali" escapes them every time.. and gets away
And the Mossad begins, in fury and rage.. to point the fingers of accusation at "Ali's" assistance to Egyptian and Lebanese intelligence.
And that was probably true.. but Egypt and Lebanon kept silent, coldly.. and ignored the Israeli accusations completely.
And the Mossad seeks the help of British intelligence.
And the English study "Ali's" file well.
And they discover a gap.
A dangerous one.
That "Ali" was fond of women.. and weak before them.. and this is a dangerous pitfall.. that drove him to marry "Georgina Rizk", Miss Lebanon and Miss Universe.. at that time.
His marriage to "Georgina" was not the pitfall.. but his infatuation with her.. made his life somewhat routine.. and cost him his caution.. and his path became clear, monotonous, repetitive.
And the English intelligence agent "Erika Chambers" rented an apartment in a building opposite his apartment in Beirut.. and through a magnifying scope.. she memorized his movements by heart.
And on 22 January.. of the year 1979.. "Ali" comes down to get into his car.. and "Erika" is at the window smiling.. then she raises her hand with a remote control.. and presses a special button.. whereupon "Ali's" car explodes.. a massive, horrifying explosion.. that killed five passers-by on the spot and injured 18 people.. and turned the car into fragments. And it burned "Ali's" body.. and tore it to pieces.
And the strange thing is that he did not die.
He kept resisting, as was his way in life, for an hour and a half.. before he died in a hospital in Beirut.. an hour and a half later.. at exactly half past four in the afternoon.
And he is buried in the Martyrs' Cemetery.
To this day the Mossad loathes the name "Ali Hassan Salameh" with madness.
So much so that they do not mention him by his name.
They mention him by a special nickname.. by which they refer to him in their files.. not as a resistance man of course.. but as a butcher from their point of view.. he harmed them greatly.
The nickname "the Red Prince".
