After we spoke about the first three generations of war, and met "Leonidas" and the heroes of Sparta.. and met "Theron" the hero of the Boers and an elite of the greatest known and unknown heroes of the Crossing and the Attrition.. we entered "fourth-generation war".. and that talk is in the first reference for anyone who wants to go back to it..

And now, bring a cup of coffee or a glass of tea.. and come, let us continue talking about fourth-generation war in particular...

- There is always a fine line between care and miserliness, between courage and recklessness.. between religiosity and extremism.. between reasonableness and cowardice.. between self-respect and arrogance.. between generosity and foolishness, between the right to criticize and spiteful abuse, between freedom and chaos...

Fourth-generation war, through the media, brings an eraser, and wipes these lines away for you and removes them and hides them...

There is no longer any difference between the right to criticize and vileness...nor any difference between freedom and destructive chaos..

It takes you into a grey, confused, turbulent zone.. and loses for you the dividing line that lets you stand on the truth of things.. and hurls you into a vortex in which terminology is thrown into confusion and definitions are mixed up.. and the truth is lost and distorted...

- The points that fourth-generation wars focus on distorting and removing the dividing lines between are "politics".. "war".. "religion".. "general definitions.. homeland and civilian and military".. all of this gets distorted.. and come, let us take an example of that from reality...

- Imagine with me that one of the members of "ISIS".. armed with hand grenades.. reached a children's school.. and then drew a machine gun.. and killed the security men.. and then shelled that children's school with the grenades.. before the authorities arrested him...

What we are talking about here is a trained terrorist.. who came and carried out a number of assassinations and a number of terrorist operations..

When he is tried you will hear the sentence we all heard: "no military trials for civilians"...

"Civilians".. "civilian"...

The dividing line between "civilian" and "combatant" was removed.. and this trained terrorist "combatant" became a "civilian"...

You heard it before about a terrorist fighter who was caught in Sinai.. right?

Come, let us take another example..

In all regimes in the world throughout history.. the state monopolizes certain things.. the state monopolizes the law and its application.. and monopolizes the use of force in applying the law if necessary...

But we all saw Dr. ElBaradei, when he described the armed forces' repelling of a terrorist aggression as "mutual violence".. no, sorry.. the "use of force" is supposed to be the right of the state alone, through its official authorities.. how do you put the killer and the security man in one basket and remove the dividing line between them?

States "have a monopoly on combat forces".. that is in the whole world.. and whoever takes up arms against them is considered a criminal...

But with these lines removed.. we saw an armed gang calling itself the "Free Army".. standing up to a state as an equal.. and all those who wage fourth-generation wars against you, God bless them, they call them a "moderate armed opposition"..

Stop with yourself and ask it honestly.. would America accept its own opposition being armed? Turkey? Qatar? And would they still call them "moderate"??

Let us take a third example.. a state may cooperate intelligence-wise with another state.. and they exchange intelligence information to repel a common potential aggression.. while no one in history gives this right to individuals.. it is called "the crime of espionage"..

But we all heard after the revolution, if you remember.. when we talked about the "foreign funding case".. we heard "well, doesn't Egypt take aid and loans from foreign states"...

The dividing line between the state and the individual was removed.. and the state does something, so it becomes "let us do the same".. the state imprisons certain individuals for life.. because they committed certain crimes.. fine, we too will take people we see as criminals and imprison them in a cellar.. the state applies the death penalty? So what.. we too will execute people just like it...

The state imports a narcotic, to use it in manufacturing medicine.. we too will traffic in drugs...!

Confusion and dispersion and disarray...

Freedom of opinion has become sexual innuendo and insults and vileness.. and of course we all know "the programme" and the owner of the programme.. who entrenched this principle.. the unleashing of lies and rumours, which cause confusion and cause disasters..

- Do you know that you can kill a person with a rumour?

In the month of 7 of the year 2015.. a surprise terrorist attack took place in Sinai.. what happened at the time was that the armed forces repelled the attack.. and confronted it.. and inflicted heavy losses on the terrorists.. and killed whom they killed and arrested whom they arrested...

But the media — one of the most important tools of fourth-generation wars — began telling us that ISIS had defeated the armed forces divisions.. and seized an Apache and several armoured vehicles and two tanks.. and occupied El-Arish completely and advanced and reached Suez..

Imagine that there were mothers and fathers whose sons were members of the armed forces.. or doctors in the El-Arish hospital.. or working in Suez.. they could truly have died of a heart attack from a "rumour" like this..?

Meaning, with a rumour you can kill a person...

By the way, the one who started this media choir at the time was CNN.. and it was followed by its spoiled daughter.. Al Jazeera..

- CNN's role in the wars led by the United States and Israel since its inception is extremely effective and vital, as a tool of psychological warfare.. to the point that the late Dr. "Boutros Boutros-Ghali", the former Secretary-General of the United Nations, said publicly:

"CNN is the sixteenth member of the Security Council".. this is documented in the second reference for anyone who wants to go back to it...

CNN's role in psychological warfare is terrifying.. and established and known.. to the point that there is a theory all by itself in "Political science" about the influence of the CNN channel in wars, called the theory of "the CNN effect".. and how its broadcasting of certain news and certain rumours changes the course of entire wars and the orientations of entire states.. if you would like to be sure, you can go back to the third and fourth reference in this post...

This reminds you of what we said before about "The Daily Mail", whose founder is Lord "Alfred Charles William Harmsworth".. the first person to convince England to use psychological warfare in wars, and whom we talked about in the second link in the first reference...

- God, glorified and exalted, in His noble Book in Surat An-Nasr said to the Prophet, peace be upon him, before the conquest of Mecca: "When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest".. meaning, He, glorified and exalted, called the Prophet's return to his homeland "the victory of Allah and the conquest".. and verses were revealed specifically about it.. because God knows that homelands are precious.. and knows that Mecca is precious to His Prophet, peace be upon him...

And despite that.. the dividing line between the homeland and religion was removed and the definitions were lost and the truth was distorted.. so we began to see a sane, level-headed young man speaking in the name of God and His Messenger and telling you: "I have no homeland.. my homeland is my religion"..

God bless.. sir, you are amending God Himself.. and setting new principles.. at the same time you are convinced that you are religious, and a protector of the sanctity of religion.. like "Sayyid Qutb" when he too amended the Lord of the Worlds and called the homeland "a handful of rotten dust" after God had said in describing this very land: "You are in the sacred valley of Tuwa"..

In all these examples.. this sane, level-headed young man.. who is supposed to be the fuel of progress and success and a flame of enthusiasm and who has the capacity for learning and innovation and intellectual and athletic and artistic and scientific excellence.. unfortunately... is lost.. lost and has lost his compass when the dividing lines between the basic, self-evident definitions in his mind were removed..

This is fourth-generation war.. your enemy wages it against you through the media.. visual media.. written media.. social media.. Twitter.. and Facebook and any media means possible..

Maybe no one noticed the picture in the previous post.. which is the last link in the first reference.. the picture of the machine gun with a "laptop" next to it.. the laptop and the internet connection today have become part of the terrorists' equipment.. anywhere in the world.. exactly like firearms..

So then, how is he able to reach you through the media and change the concepts in your mind to this degree?

How does he write? What does he say? How do you protect yourself?

And since there is a "CNN effect".. is there, I wonder, in political science something called the "Al Jazeera effect"?

We will talk about all of this later, God willing.. and our talk has a remainder...
