We're still continuing with the American intelligence man "Hunter".. the one who coined the term "Brainwashing" for us..
The United States, 1973 to 1975.. and a group waging a kind of war on America.. a kind that was - and still is - one of the hardest kinds of war in history, and the longest-lasting.. and the most exhausting for any state, no matter how strong it is..
"Guerrilla warfare"..
Guerrilla warfare, in which you can't tell your enemy from your friend.. and you buy a pot of flowers from the flower seller under your building to put on your balcony.. he gives you the flowers and smiles at you.. and you don't know that he is one of the organization's fighters.. and that he will put on a mask and go out at night to shell that very balcony with an RPG.. and the next morning he will be back in his shop in calm.. and he might even pat you on the shoulder.. and cry with you over your family whom you lost in the attack that he himself carried out..
Extremist groups that fight suddenly.. they rely on ambushes and surprise attacks..
The United States in that period faced a terrorist group, of all things.. called the "Symbionese Liberation Army".. it terrorized the American state between 1973 and 1975..
Of course you might wonder.. how can guerrilla wars be long-lasting when it was a war that lasted only two years?
Proportion and scale; you'll realize that this is a very long period, when you know that this "Liberation Army".. consisted of 12 individuals only, nothing more.. meaning fewer than the number of players on a football team.. and before they were arrested they had reached 21 individuals..
21 individuals, against the United States!
And this army declared itself a "revolutionary vanguard army".. it was founded by a scoundrel named "Donald DeFreeze" who was serving a sentence in prison because he was a habitual criminal.. he steals a gas bomb from a policeman and runs.. shoots up a house.. and once he held a nanny hostage.. etc..
In prison he suddenly discovered that he was a leftist.. and that the United States had injustice and oppression in it.. and that he had to liberate the "slaves" in it.. so he founded this army as soon as he finished his sentence and got out..
What is this man's connection to brainwashing? This man read a great deal in prison.. and discovered a method of brainwashing that the Chinese had invented a very long time ago.. perhaps before the birth of Christ..
The Chinese used to practice a brainwashing technique through torture, but in a slightly more advanced way.. and you are a prisoner with them.. they bring you two teams of guards.. one team tortures you.. deprives you of food and sleep, and puts your head in a barrel of water, for example, until you are on the verge of drowning..
And suddenly one of the second team appears to you.. "What are you people doing? This is a respectable human being who has a right to our respect.." He drives away those torturing you.. and brings you food and gives you rest and pleases you and leaves..
When he leaves.. after a little rest.. the first ones come back and torture you again.. and after a while, when you are about to collapse.. the second group suddenly appears.. and drives them away.. and takes care of you, pleasing you..
With time, automatically, without feeling it.. you "love" the members of the second group...
You love them and feel at ease with them and talk to them, and gradually they become your friends.. and at that point.. you find yourself, without noticing, embracing their cause..
The United States adopts this method in its interrogations and calls it "Good cop \ bad cop".
Anyway, a violent, aggressive policeman interrogates you, shouting and threatening and maybe hitting you.. and suddenly his colleague comes and drives him away and acts gently with you and brings you donuts, coffee and a pack of cigarettes.. this interrogation method has other psychological dimensions.. which are not the subject of discussion here.. but it serves as an example of the old Chinese work, the more violent and extreme..
Anyway, once, on February 4, 1974.. this Symbionese Liberation Army stormed the home of the granddaughter of the American media tycoon "Patricia Campbell Hearst".. and kidnapped her..
"Patricia" is rich, from a rich family, and entered university at her family's expense, not on a scholarship - which in the United States, if you only knew, is a great matter - studying art history.. and she was serene and pampered.. she had never seen hunger or injustice or hardship in her life..
They kidnapped her and demanded a huge ransom by the standards of that time.. and a food grant worth millions of dollars.. and the release of 2 members of the organization who had been arrested..
The American police were at a standstill, but they could not reach her location or her kidnappers.. until April 3 of the same year, when they were surprised by an audio recording sent on a cassette tape from their kidnapped daughter.. in which she declares with the utmost firmness.. that she has joined the "Symbionese Liberation Army"...!
Everyone - including the police - believed that she was forced to say this.. until she appeared in a video tape captured by a bank's cameras.. which the members of the Liberation Army had stormed and robbed, and "Patricia" was stealing with them, carrying an "M1 carbine" assault rifle..
The disaster is that in this operation there was an exchange of gunfire, and five American policemen were killed.. In America you can walk around naked and curse your father and your mother and the Lord and the prophets and get drunk until you lose consciousness, and certain drugs are even permitted for you to take.. but assaulting a security officer is the mother of all sins.. and then you will see what you have never seen in your nightmares..
Your brain has become washed.. ironed.. nothing else concerns them.. assaulting a security officer is a form of suicide..
Here, consequently, the matter took a new turn.. the gentle "Patricia".. "Patty" became a nervous woman robbing banks with a weapon.. the delicate arts student became an attacker..
Her family protested and said "she was forced into this".. but a review of the recordings proved the opposite..
"Patty Hearst" stormed the bank in cold blood.. and fired along with the attackers on the policemen as well.. and the American Attorney General at the time, "William B. Saxbe", declared that she had committed her crime deliberately, with premeditation and intent..
"Patricia" was no longer the one they knew..
As if there were another being in her mind..
Someone had washed her brain and planted in her head another, evil being..
A terrifying being.. invisible.. it controlled her behavior in some way..
And the gentle "Patty" turned from a victim whom justice was seeking to save, into a fugitive from justice..
"Patty" commits several other crimes with the Symbionese Liberation Army, and appears highly skilled in crime, hard to arrest, until an incident happens by pure coincidence on May 16, 1974, leading to a violent development in her case.. and making the authorities grasp the first threads of the terrifying brainwashing she was subjected to..
And that we will tell later, and the story continues..
