"Mrs. Fletcher, Jessica Beatrice Fletcher" is in truth a blend of several fictional detectives.. she is "Miss Marple".. but American.. and active, mobile and much-travelled like "Poirot".. logical like "Holmes".. and her life is ordinary like the Frenchman "Maigret, Commissaire Jules Maigret" who is in the picture with the pipe...

"Maigret" sits at the top in terms of the number of stories in which he appeared compared with any detective or investigator at all, about 76 stories and 28 short stories.. "Maigret" solved all their crimes.. "Maigret" had no special traits and is one of the most realistic detectives in literature..

Inspector "Maigret" was an ordinary French police officer.. hardworking and working with his team.. his success depends on tireless research and the usual routine work of a police officer and team spirit.. with no extraordinary personal genius..

"Jessica Fletcher".. who appeared in the series "Murder, She Wrote" differed from "Maigret" in that she was an English teacher and a congresswoman and a wealthy writer.. and she has connections, and that opened horizons for her to adventures that were not available to "Maigret"...

She travels very often and goes on outings and her wealth smooths obstacles for her.. and she used to solve crimes during her travels.. in addition to the fact that she has a brother, "Marshal", one time.. and another brother who is a forensic doctor.. so the first used to smooth for her the obstacles that stood in her way procedurally.. and push the criminal investigation men to seek her help.. and the second supplies her with what was hidden from her of forensic medicine sciences...

"Fletcher" lives in a fictional town like "Miss Marple".. "its name is Cabot Cove".. and thank God all her nasty, clingy neighbours get killed.. and she investigates these crimes...

Her many travels make her adventures expand.. to the point that in one story she meets another detective by another author.. the detective "Thomas Magnum"..

And "Magnum" was a naval officer.. after he left the navy.. he decided to become a private detective. And nobody called him and no work came to him.. so he found himself almost bankrupt.. and he could have ended up as a beggar.. especially since he was a frivolous drunkard of the lords of the dissolute life.. were it not for his friendship with the artist and writer "Robin Masters".. who gives him a job at his place in Hawaii.. with a reasonable salary.. and lets him use his empty house on the beach and drive his red Ferrari.. and high society began to notice him as a real secret informant.. no character of any detective ever lived a life of luxury and nonsense like the one "Magnum" lived...

"Magnum's" stories lean more towards action and movement.. than smart logical thinking like "Holmes" and "Poirot" and "Marple" and "Fletcher"...

"Magnum" had a friend, Lieutenant "Yoshi Tanaka".. a supporting secondary character.. this character was a disaster and descended on "Magnum's" head.. because there was in him very much of "Columbo".. with his coat and his absent-mindedness and his manner.. and consequently he drew people's attention more than "Magnum" himself..

This pushed the author to write a special story of "Magnum's" stories.. in which a killer isolates Lieutenant "Yoshi".. and kills him...

"Fletcher" relies on her intelligence and on suggesting to the killer that he has won and that the steps she is taking with feigned stupidity.. are in the interest of concealing his crime, and this many times makes the killer help her...

By virtue of the character being influenced by the world of "Agatha Christie".. she is often exposed to poisons in her works.. like the story "Night of the Tarantula".. in which the killer tries to convince everyone that the killing is done by black magic and "Voodoo dolls"...

"Fletcher" was one of the reasons for the fame of "Angela Lansbury" who is in this picture.. the most famous person who embodied the role..

You can search for "Fletcher's" episodes on YouTube with the search word "Murder, she wrote".. "America Online, AOL".. chose Mrs. "Fletcher" in 2011 as one of the "100 Most Memorable Female TV Characters"..

Next time we will talk about the only old doctor.. the thin, nervous one who smokes greedily.. and investigates puzzles, crimes and mysterious events linked to parapsychology and the metaphysical.. "Dr. Misir Ali"...

Dr. "Misir Ali" is a character from Bengali literature.. and is absolutely unknown to the Arab reader.. and I do not consider him a detective at all.. but "The American Literature Association" considered him as such.. so there is no harm in making room for him among others.. and let us have a meeting with him later.. and let the talk have a conclusion...
